Victorian Fantasy Story teaserI felt an icy breeze blowing onto my face, chilling my exposed skin, but it was the horrid squealing sound that woke me from my dreams. I opened my eyes to see the window above my bed being slowly forced open by a huge creature with the horns of a bull but face of a bat. It had pushed my window ajar, but now the metal hinges were being contorted out of shape as the creature was ramming its way through the opening. I watched from my pillow frozen in fear, as the creature wheezed and spluttered through the opening but managed to manoeuvre its long and muscular arm through.Victorian Fantasy Story teaser

The creatures’ constantly chatter, But they don’t notice me, Some push past me. I am lost.
I try to find the exit, But it’s too dark and I am being held back, Pale hands like thorns ripping, I am lost.
I run from the hands, From the creatures, Into the metal forest, I am lost.
I look to the sky for warmth, But the sun is gone, Hidden behind the tall metal trees, I am lost.
